2XM Recruit are currently seeking experienced Tube Fitters, Hose Assembly Techs, Grease & Lube Techs, Hydraulics Technicians & Mechanical Fitters for an upcoming FIFO shutdown at FMG Anderson Point.
Project Details:
- Dates: 15th August – 21st August & 25th August to 2nd or 4th September
- Hours: 12-hour days
- Flights, accommodation and meals provided
Project Scope:
The project will involve working on Line 1 – unit change-outs, completing hydraulic and mechanical maintenance works across four key scopes:
Tube Fitting
- Installation and replacement of hydraulic tubing
- Tube bending, fitting and testing
- Ensuring hydraulic systems are installed correctly and leak-free
Hose Assembly
- Removal and replacement of hydraulic hoses
- Manufacturing and installing hose assemblies
- Hose fitting, crimping and pressure testing
Mechanical Works
- Mechanical change-outs and maintenance activities
- Assisting with equipment modifications and component replacements
Grease & Lubrication Works
- Installation and replacement of grease lines
- Lubrication system maintenance
- Ensuring equipment is correctly serviced and operational
Positions Required & Pay rates (Day shifts below + 15% uplift for the Night shifts)
S26 Supervisors – $75–$85/hr
Tube Fitters – $65–$70/hr
Hose Assembly Technicians – $60–$65/hr
Grease & Lubrication Technicians – $60–$65/hr
Hydraulic Technicians – $70–$75/hr
Additional Information:
- Flight time paid – 2 hours each way
- Night shift fly-out day will include paid stand-down time at workshop rate (rate TBC)
Required Tickets & Experience:
- EWP
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Hot Works
- Hydraulic, hose fitting, tubing, lubrication or mechanical maintenance experience
- MSIC experience desirable
(If you do not hold MSIC, you may be required to wait and work alongside someone who does.) - FMG Induction desirable (candidates without FMG induction may be put through the required inductions)
