Training Specialist | Rail Industry | Perth
Our client is a leading global organisation within the rail industry and, due to continued growth, is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to join their Perth-based team.
This role will see you develop and deliver training programs, assess competencies, support onboarding, and coach frontline operational teams to ensure compliance, capability, and high performance across rail maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training programs and learning materials
- Conduct competency assessments and provide coaching to employees and leaders
- Support onboarding, role changes, and workforce compliance requirements
- Maintain training records, reporting, and competency frameworks
- Liaise with operational teams, RTOs, and key stakeholders to ensure training outcomes are achieved
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across training and development programs.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in rail maintenance, rolling stock, or track machine
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Training role, with in depth exposure to competency and training requirements, RTO’s, education providers, etc.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel as required.
