Summary
Seeking a Lead Structural/Civil Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to work on complex, large-scale infrastructure and structural projects across Australia, including major transport infrastructure, health, commercial, and industrial developments.The business delivers highly specialised foundation and ground engineering solutions and is involved in technically challenging projects requiring innovative design, practical problem solving, and close collaboration between design and delivery teams. Their expertise are across piling, shoring, anchoring, retention systems, and specialised civil construction.
This is a hands-on senior engineering position suited to someone who enjoys both technical design and project involvement from tender through to construction delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and review of piling, shoring, anchoring, retention, and foundation systems
- Provide technical leadership and engineering input during tender submissions and project planning
- Manage projects from concept design through to delivery and completion
- Work closely with estimating, tendering, and project delivery teams.
- Lead the design and coordination of structural and geotechnical support systems across multiple projects nationally.
- Coordinate with internal delivery teams, consultants, and clients to ensure project outcomes are achieved
- Ensure all engineering documentation complies with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and problem-solving support across multiple concurrent projects
- Assist with buildability reviews and practical construction methodologies
- Support projects nationally, including occasional interstate travel where required
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Significant experience in structural, foundation, piling, shoring, or anchoring design- Essential
- Strong background delivering complex infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or large-scale structural projects
- Proven understanding of Australian Standards, engineering compliance, and construction methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with relevant structural and civil engineering design software e.g WALLAP

This is a full-time office-based role located in the Inner West of Sydney with flexibility around working hours and occasional travel required to support national projects.
