Are you an Intermediate Accountant looking for a fully remote role with a modern firm that genuinely supports career development? This opportunity offers flexibility, strong mentorship, and exposure to a broad range of clients while you continue your CA/CPA journey.
This Brisbane-based firm is growing and looking to add an Intermediate Accountant to their Business Services & Tax team. You’ll work remotely while being supported by experienced seniors and managers, with the opportunity to take ownership of your own client work.
The Role
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals
- Preparation of BAS and IAS returns
- Assist with FBT, CGT and Division 7A calculations
- Liaise directly with clients and respond to queries
- Assist with tax planning and advisory work
- ATO correspondence and lodgements
- Work with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero and integrated apps)
- Support senior accountants and managers with client work
About You
- 2–4 years experience within an Australian public practice firm
- Currently studying CA/CPA, just started, or part-way through
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Strong understanding of business services and tax compliance
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- Experience with Xero or similar cloud-based software preferred
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
