Rail Vehicle HVAC Workshop Technician Works.
Company Overview:
Our Valued Rail services client is one of the largest integrated and diversified suppliers of railroad and transit system products and services in Australia.
An opportunity exists for a HVAC Tech who is responsible for hands on support & promotion of company product range within the rail vehicle.

Role Tasks & Duties:
The role includes but not limited to:
In this hands on role you will be required to complete works both individual and as part of a production workshop team who’s cell complete:

  • Initially become part of an established workshop team who service rail components, parts and fittings.
  • You will become responsible for setting up a HVAC production within an established work shop environment.
  • Dissemble, overhaul, repair and re assembly of HVAC / mechanical components / equipment.
  • Initially tasks and responsibilities will consist of following detailed schematic drawings to complete full strip downs of existing Mechanical components / parts and deep cleaning tasks.
  • Specific industry training by the team will be provided and over time additional tasks and duties will develop to include reassembly – refurbishment – overall – testing & commissioning tasks of product ranges.
  • Team members must ensure the highest OH&S standard and a clean and safe work environment is maintained at all times.
  • Report daily to Section supervisor, when required assist section supervisor with supervision of training new hires and additional support
  • After probation period has been completed you will then move into a work shop 50% / work site 50% HVAC position whereby you will be responsible for the installation, fabrication, testing commissioning and ongoing servicing / continued after care product support.

Required Skills, Experience and Competencies:

  • Australian HVAC Trade Certification III Or Diploma Engineering.
  • Currently registered full NSW ARC refrigerant handling license.
  • Minimum of 3 years practical exposure ideally in manufacturing or relatable industry.  
  • Proven ability to provide service delivery that is customer focused, flexible and adaptable.
  • Dedication to working in a safe manner at all times.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Strong prioritization, organisational and time management skills.

Additional requirements:

  • Passing a pre-employment medical.
  • RIW Card Highly Desirable.
  • Australian fulltime working rights.
  • The business is subject to the public health order requirements which are released of changed from time to time

What Is On Offer?

  • $50.00 – $55.00 Per Hour Plus Penalties.
  • Immediate Starts, initial 6X Months Duration, with permanent pathway opportunities.
  • Mon-Fri Day Shifts (6:30am – 2:36pm), with overtime available.
