Structural Project Lead – Perth
2XM Recruit are partnering with a leading nationwide Structural Engineering Consultancy who specialise in Structural, Civil and Construction engineering solutions across the commercial, high-rise residential and infrastructure environments.
They are in the market for a Structural Project Lead who enjoys leading projects, managing client relationships, and taking ownership of delivery outcomes while maintaining strong technical oversight across complex structural designs. Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
• Lead structural projects from concept design through to construction
• Manage project programs, deliverables and deadlines
• Plan & allocate resources and coordinate internal design teams
• Monitor progress, risk and performance across multiple projects
• Ensure QA/QC compliance and technical integrity of deliverables
Client & Stakeholder Management
• Act as primary point of contact for clients
• Lead coordination meetings with builders, architects and consultants
• Manage expectations, variations and commercial outcomes
• Maintain and strengthen long-term client relationships
Team Leadership
• Mentor and coordinate structural engineers and drafters
• Provide technical guidance and direction
• Review and approve engineering documentation prior to issue
• Drive accountability, performance and continuous improvement
Technical Oversight
• Maintain involvement in structural analysis and design review
• Ensure designs are efficient, compliant and buildable
• Support value engineering and innovative structural solutions
• Uphold governance and engineering standards across projects About You
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
• 8 years’ experience within a structural consultancy environment
• Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing clients
• Strong background in reinforced concrete and structural steel design
• Experience delivering projects from design through to construction
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, resources and competing priorities
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational capability
• Commercial awareness and delivery-focused mindset
Highly Regarded:
• Experience in high-rise or complex building structures
• Chartered / CPEng status (or working toward)
• Previous experience managing engineering teams What’s On Offer
