An opportunity exists for a Assembly & Test Technician who is responsible for the Assemble and test TrackIQ products according to drawings, technical documents, and test
Procedures
Role Tasks & Duties:
The role includes but not limited to:
· Build mechanical and electronic assemblies according to drawings and technical notes.
· Carry out test and inspection of products according to procedures and check sheets.
· Install and update firmware & software to products as per procedures.
· Assist with maintaining of equipment records, recording serial numbers, stock usage and test results.
· Co-operate in realising Wabtec’s Health, Safety and Environment objectives.
· Building products to drawings and specifications within deadlines.
· Proactive team player,
· Good communication skills,
· Maintain housekeeping practices and observing HSE objectives.
· To deliver high quality products to tasks set on time and safely.
· Maintain and foster good working relationships within the Track IQ family and, as applicable,
· Key relationships will be with the Production Manager and Production team
Required Skills, Experience and Competencies:
· Proven work experience in Mechatronic assembly and testing.
· Understanding of drawings, schematics, BOM’s, test procedures and data sheets
· Electronic PCB handling skills.
· Competent computer skills.
· Cable assembly
· Crimping and soldering techniques.

- Confirm to quality specifications for products/services.
- Adhere to quality objectives and targets.
- Report all issues through the RFA (Request for Action) system; and complete actions required.
- Ensure the review and analysis of data and information as input to improvement activities.
- Willingness in the use of tools and processes, creativity and innovation to enable continuous improvement; and
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure conformance with the responsibilities stated above.
Additional requirements:
- Will be expected to undergo a Rail CAT 3 pre-employment medical with LAB Drugs & Alcohol Screening.
- Will have to complete an Australian Police Check.
- Have fulltime unlimited Australian working rights.
- HRW Work LF Forklift License & RIW Card Highly Desirable.
- The business is subject to the public health order requirements which are released of changed from time to time.
