As our first blog, we would like to talk about the origin of our name 2XM and our slogan ‘’Going The Xtra Mile’’. What does it mean and where did it come from? Well, our global headquarters are based in the UK just north of London in Milton Keynes. In 2005, our co-founders Kieron Gallimore (TXM Group CEO) and Laurence Seward (TXM Group Chairman) set up TXM Recruit – TXM is the acronym for The Xtra Mile. In 2009, Keiron and Laurence decided to venture down under and as a result met with Steve Turner (our Managing Director) in Perth, Western Australia. And it was then they set about launching TXM into the Australian market. Not long after we set up, we were notified of a business in Melbourne that had already registered the name TXM, so Steve had a decision on his hands! and so the name 2XM was founded! It was agreed that the ‘2’ signified that we were the 2nd generation down in Australia, but we joke with our UK cousins that at 2XM we go 2 Xtra Miles!
Our company growth has been an exceptional journey of success based on a foundation of sound values and shared accountabilities as we move into our tenth year within Australia. We are very excited to be launching our state-of-the-art website which, we hope you agree has gone 2 Xtra miles in regard to content and functionality.
